Das Keycode KC 2 ist ein Tastaturcodeschloß, welches speziell für die Betätigung von elektrischen Türöffnern entwicklet wurde. Es besitzt ein eingebautes Netzteil mit ausreichender Ausgangsleistung, um die meisten handelsüblichen elektrischen Türöffner zu versorgen. Ein Betrieb nach dem Arbeits - oder Ruhestromprinzip ist möglich. Eine eigene Spannungsversorgung für die Türöffner ist nicht notwendig. Der Anschluß der Tastatur erfolgt über 2-Draht-Technik, so daß zur Verbindung zum Beispiel eine einfache, beliebig lange 2-adrige Klingelleitung genügt. Bereits verlegte Leitungen können zum Anschluß genutzt werden (keine teuren Spezialkabel notwendig). Das Gerät hat eine eingebaute Relais- Funktion. Damit ist es möglich, zum Beispiel eine Türklingel zu betätigen oder Licht einzuschalten, ohne daß ein gültiger CODE eingegeben werden muss. Es besteht die Möglichkeit bis zu 2 Codeschlösser parallel zu schalten. Bei Stromausfall bleiben die Daten im Auswerter IP43 erhalten !
